But with RoboForm, there's a password generator, and then you set the specs for that password, special characters, capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers. If one gets compromised, it would take hours for them to go in and change passwords for all of these different logins. Before this, many users were using similar or the same passwords from multiple logins, which obviously isn't a good idea. They had to use the browser plugins for whether it was IE or Chrome or whatever browser they were using, and really that's it. Each user just had to download and install it. The initial onboarding process and integration of RoboForm was really easy.

So the RoboForm Everywhere, allowing it to sync was one of the big things, one of the big driving factors in us choosing to use RoboForm as our password management application. Obviously you don't want other employees having access to your online banking or things like that. But then at the same time, were also to get access to the shared logins that everyone at the company was using without those things being mixed up. And then when we switched over to RoboForm Business, the integration was very easy because each user still had access to their personal stored logins, like maybe for their own personal online banking. And before this, we had our personal RoboForm, so we were using that for enterprise as well as personal use. Cost is per user per year and it's a fairly cheap cost.Īnother reason why we went with the RoboForm was allowing users to be able to sync and use passwords. And then one of the factors there was cost. So when it was opened up and released, we switched over to RoboForm Business.

But then you didn't get all of the features that RoboForm Business, one of their newer products that eventually was released, offers. And back then, RoboForm, and maybe even today RoboForm Personal was free. When we first started using RoboForm, we were using it on a personal level, each employee had a personal account. But this was many, many, many years back before you had a lot of these password management applications.Ī few of the reasons we went with RoboForm. We were really just keeping secured notes, which obviously isn't a great thing to do, especially in our environment where we have servers and AD and high-security systems of that nature. And I give RoboForm five out of five stars easily.īefore RoboForm, we weren't using any password protection products or things of that nature storing passwords. We deal with software, as well as security. We are in the information technology sector. I'm a systems administrator for our organization.
